CopperEx aims to conduct around 1,250 meters of drilling, focusing on the Franja del Oro target within a 15-kilometer-long gold enrichment zone situated in the project's northwestern area. The contractor is fully mobilized, and drilling for the first three holes has already commenced.
The drill contract for its inaugural Drill Campaign at the esteemed Exploradora Norte Property. The Drill Contractor has already mobilized, with the camp fully operational, and three out of the eight planned drill holes have been successfully drilled.
We are extremely pleased to have awarded this drill contract and commenced drilling so soon after the very recent listing of CopperEx, which followed the amalgamation with Gotham Resource Corp. and becoming a valued member of Discovery Group. We look forward to the completion of the drill program and releasing the results of the extremely compelling surface gold target, 'Franja de Oro', in the very near future." Dave Prins, President & CEO of CopperEx stated.
The focus of the campaign is on the Franja del Oro target, where approximately 1,250 meters of RC drilling is scheduled. This target forms part of a vast north-trending array of sediment-hosted gold mineralized zones, characterized by a distal porphyry geological setting.
Building on this foundation, CopperEx has diligently advanced the Agua de la Piedra and Sorpresa targets within the Franja del Oro area. Through systematic lithological and structural mapping, along with surface geochemical sampling, the gold mineralized footprint of this target has now expanded to approximately 15 kilometers (north-south) by 3.5 kilometers (east-west).
The Franja del Oro target exhibits sediment-hosted gold mineralization, replacement textures, and alteration consistent with epithermal gold deposits typically found distal to a porphyry system.
Under an Option Agreement, CopperEx holds rights to the 20,800-hectare Exploradora Norte property, with an earn-in of 65% and a preferred option for an additional 35%. Situated along the prolific West Fissure fault system in northern Chile, the property enjoys a prime location north of El Salvador and south of Escondida, nestled at an elevation of 3,400 meters above sea level in the Chilean pre-cordillera. With a year-round operating climate and excellent access, the property presents favorable conditions for exploration endeavors.
