Golden Arrow Resources Corporation (TSX-V: GRG, FSE: G6A, OTCQB: GARWF) has enthusiastically announced the latest drilling results from the San Pietro Project in Chile. The southern extension of the Rincones target has yielded the best copper interval to date: 283 meters averaging 0.23% Cu, 0.04 g/t Au, 101 g/t Co, and 15.5% Fe from a depth of 83 meters in hole SP-DDH-38. This interval includes two segments with significantly higher copper grades, highlighting 75 meters averaging 0.33% Cu and 11.55 meters averaging 0.51% Cu, in addition to a 9.35-meter interval averaging 0.74% Cu, 0.43 g/t Au, 254 g/t Co, and 38.6% Fe.
Hole SP-DDH-29 was the first to assess the southern extension of Rincones, extending 400 meters south of the previously defined mineralization. This hole intersected 310.85 meters averaging 0.19% Cu, 0.06 g/t Au, 127 g/t Co, and 12.2% Fe from a depth of 186.4 meters, as reported on October 31, 2024. Due to these promising results, Golden Arrow has allocated the final three holes of Phase 2 to further explore the area and provide key data for the upcoming Mineral Resource Estimate ("MRE").
According to Brian McEwen, Vice President of Exploration and Development at Golden Arrow, "Hole 38 is helping to define a significant and sparsely tested southern extension of Rincones, adding value to the central area of continuous mineralization. With nine drilled holes including intervals over 100 meters of significant copper, we are firmly progressing towards our first MRE for the project."
In addition to hole SP-DDH-38, two other holes reported significant intervals. SP-DDH-37, located in the center of Rincones, returned 130 meters averaging 0.23% Cu, 0.05 g/t Au, 69 g/t Co, and 13.4% Fe from a depth of 250 meters. On the other hand, SP-DDH-35, drilled on the western flank of the target, intersected 102 meters averaging 0.25% Cu, 0.04 g/t Au, 185 g/t Co, and 14.7% Fe from a depth of 186 meters.
The San Pietro Project, located in northern Chile, covers approximately 20,000 hectares and is situated between Capstone Copper's Manto Verde mine and Santo Domingo project. The IOCG (Iron Oxide-Copper-Gold) and cobalt mineralization is found within a sequence of andesites altered by potassium feldspar and quartz-scapolite.
During 2023, Golden Arrow completed a Phase 1 drilling program covering 4,000 meters in 13 holes, adding to the 34,000 meters of historical drilling. Phase 2 focused primarily on the advanced Rincones exploration target to complete the initial mineral resource estimate.
