Within the framework of EXPOMIN 2025, the Delegation of the European Union in Chile, alongside its Member States, will organize the side-event Team Europe Meets Chile, an instance to deepen the collaboration between Chile and the European Union (EU) around the development of sustainable supply chains of critical raw materials.
This meeting is part of the Memorandum of Understanding signed in 2023 between the EU and Chile and its associated Roadmap, which reinforce the mutual commitment to the secure, sustainable and responsible supply of strategic minerals.
The activity will be held on April 24 at 7:00 pm and will be attended by leaders of the mining sector, government representatives and Chilean and European companies, consolidating a space for dialogue and cooperation.
The side-event seeks to make investment opportunities visible, highlight the high ESG standards (environmental, social and corporate governance factors that are taken into account when investing in a company), promote the European mining offer and encourage the exchange of knowledge and experiences in green mining.
In line with the Critical Raw Materials Act and the Global Gateway strategy, this event highlights the role of the European Union as a partner committed to sustainability and shared value at local level.
The activity will be organized by the Delegation of the European Union and several Member States under the Team Europe approach, strengthening the European presence in EXPOMIN 2025 and generating an ideal environment for the linkage between European companies and actors of the Chilean ecosystem.
The international event will culminate with a networking cocktail that will facilitate the creation of strategic links in the mining and energy sector.
